JACK KADOORIE biography
Jack Kadoorie is an emerging writer, filmmaker and musician from Chester, England, with a passion for creating thought-provoking stories set in the North of England. Jack proudly embraces his second-generation immigrant identity, drawing strength from his Jewish heritage. He honours his familial roots by reclaiming his original family name, Kadoorie. Jack often likes to explore race, religion and relationships in his work. Jack graduated from Staffordshire University with a First Class Honours Degree in Film Production, where he specialised in directing and writing for low-budget feature films.
Jack is an emerging writer who has recently completed his debut novel, "95 Revolutions," a dark comedy about a '90s-obsessed teen who discovers a vinyl record that allows her to travel back to the Hacienda. Currently seeking representation for his novel, Jack is eager to share this story of finding happiness in the most unusual of places, with readers worldwide. In addition to his novel-writing endeavours, Jack has a portfolio of screenplays for feature films, shorts and TV pilots, some of which have enjoyed success on the festival circuit, and others which seek development.

In his final year of study, Jack wrote his dissertation on utilising low-budgets for British feature films, as well as writing and directing a no-budget feature film called ‘Buses’. Despite the lack of budget, the film was screened at several film festivals both in the UK and the US and won a Royal Television Society award for Best Drama. Since university Jack has written and directed a number of short films, to hone is craft. Jack is eager to transform his debut novel into a captivating British feature film, albeit with a touch of financial backing to bring his vision to life in its full cinematic glory.
MUSICIAN
Jack is a multi-instrument musician, who honed his craft of piano, guitar and vocals performing at restaurants and weddings, in the years that followed his graduation. Though other passions have diverted his path from live performances, Jack continues to channel his creativity through recording music for his social media channels where he shares a laidback reimagining of hip-hop tracks, and original compositions in a similar style. Jack hopes that one day he will return to live performing with a hip-hop themed acoustic act. He also aspires to blend his passions for film and music, and write a musical.

Jack's passion for film started at an early age. His father, was an avid toy collector and huge Batman fan, culminating in him owning the most renowned vintage Batman collection in the world. Jack shared his father's passion for toy collecting and pop culture, and bought and sold collectibles from a young age.
